As I was searching on Pinterest I found tons of neat things. Then I thought. "Why not share?" So while you are cleaning up your classrooms, preparing for another school year, keep these in mind.

Check out these neat crayons that you can make using old glue sticks

When I saw this, my brain started thinking... "Darn! Why did I give all that old stuff away?!" Lol

A Glimpse into my 2nd home...

I have yet to post any pictures of my classroom but today I decided to let you get a "glimpse" of it. I am still on "summer" break so of course it's not set up yet but I wanted to show you what it looked liked before it had to all go in boxes.

Last year was my first year teaching Bilingual Kindergarten and I was not sure how that was going to go. I had taught first grade the year before and I wasn't sure how to go about the set up of my class with Kindergartners. These pictures were from the last month of school., but I changed it about 8 times during the school year... Please tell me I am not the only one who changes their classroom around that many times... Anyone?

I like change and this helps me keep it together the remainder of the year :) Oh and the kids love it! It's like a new classroom to them.

Okay so here are a few pictures. Please feel free to comment. I have no idea what it's going to look like this year but I hope much neater and organized. At least for the first week! :)

This is my calendar area... word wall, calendar, poems, alphabet chart

This is my "desk area". I actually don't have a desk because it was taking up too much room so I ditched it. I am now using all that counter space as my "desk" and it actually has worked way better. It limits my space for clutter. Although that's hard to see here. Ha ha.

This picture also shows my behavior chart (green, yellow, orange, red)... I think I need something new.

This shows my reading table which also works as my Teacher's Aid area. She pulls students who need extra help while I work with them at their desk or teach whole group. This also shows my little kitchen, puzzle box, coat hooks (drove me nuts! I need a system for this!), and their book boxes above the hooks.

I had to post this because I really liked this alphabet :) Made by the kiddos and stayed up all year!

Okay so there you go. Just a small glimpse. I plan to go to my classroom this week so I will take pictures of the before and post as I start fixing my room up for the new kiddos. Let me know what you think and share any ideas you may have for me.

My First Blog Hop!

Yesterday I joined a blog hop and I couldn't figure out how to post it and link up (is that what I am doing?) Lol. I think I got it.

I found it on Bunting, Books & Brainbridge

What state are you in?

Washington!

What is your current teaching position?

I currently teach Bilingual Kindergarten.

What is your teaching experience?

This is my second year teaching Kinder and I love it! Before that I taught 1st grade for two years and 2nd grade my first year of teaching. Kinder is my favorite so far!

When did you start blogging?

Last week actually! Any tips would be so very helpful!

Share some blogging tips or a resource.

Since I just started I really don't have one. But I do have lots of questions! :)

Makeover!

Although I just started this blog I feel it is missing something so I am definitely in need of a makeover!

If I could customize my blog I would probably pick something with polka dots, birds and trees. Not so original but I just love those themes! This is also a theme I will be trying to do in my classroom. Not sure how that will look just yet.

Introduce yourself!

The beginning of the school year is about to start and with that being said there is a lot of prep work to do before those little kiddos get in there. Although this is not often a priority, I thought it was a good idea to do a book to introduce yourself to your kids. I looked online and came across a very cute & chic printable on TPT. I LOVE THIS SITE! So click HERE and get your very own EDITABLE book to start off the year!

I will be going into my class tomorrow so I will posting pictures of it so that you can all see the progress as I spruce it up. I didn't have to take everything down but I chose to because it allows me to rethink how I am going to organize the space. My husband wasn't too fond of the idea but I love it! :) Hopefully I can make it look a little more organized as I have gotten rid of a lot of things!

Daily 5!

First of all you should know that I am a bit of a workaholic. I find myself working late nights and early, really early mornings (the quietest time in my house). Anyhow, there is still at least a month until I start school and I have spent my last two nights brainstorming decor ideas and collecting new material to use with my new Kinders. I love Kindergarten. Everything is so intriguing to them!

I would like to share a little something that I found useful for teachers who teach the Daily 5.
Daily 5 Posters

Click HERE to check out these posters and rotation cards that Amanda at One Extra Degree has created. Cute & useful.... what more could you ask for?! Oh & they are FREE!!!

I have finally done it!

Okay so after years (yes it has really taken me years) of procrastinating the blog idea, it has finally come to this. My first post for my first blog.I am not sure what got you here but if you are here and have read this post please let me know by commenting below! :)

My intention for this blog is so that I can share my creations as a teacher and a crafter. I love creating things but I wish I could share with others so that it could inspire me to create and learn more. I usually will be creating for my friends, family, and kiddos. Feel free to ask questions so that we can all learn from each other.

Thank you to my followers.
